Brian Cody's injury concerns have been compounded today with the news that former captain Jackie Tyrrell is among three more players likely to miss the defending champions Leinster semi-final with Offaly.

The James Stephens defender, who lifted the Liam McCarthy cup in 2006, took a knock on his hand during a recent club game against Clara.

While initial reports suggested he had merely bruised his left hand, it has since transpired that he suffered a broken bone in the incident and could be out of action for as much as six weeks.

Fellow defender James Ryall (hamstring) and goalkeeper Richie O'Neill (cruciate knee ligament) have also been added to the injury list and are outside bets to make the June 15th date with Offaly.

Cody has already been planning without long-term absentees Derek Lyng and John Tennyson.
