Rail users face massive disruption this Bank Holiday weekend as the west stand at Lansdowne Road stadium is demolished.

All train services between Connolly Station and Sydney Parade have been suspended today, tomorrow and Monday for the multi-million euro redevelopment of the Dublin ground.

Throughout the weekend, Dart services will run from Howth and Malahide to Connolly and from Sydney Parade to Bray and Greystones.

A shuttle bus service will operate between Connolly and Booterstown Stations for customers making cross-city journeys, or travelling from southside stations to the city centre.

These arrangements will ensure that customers can travel throughout the DART system, including to and from events such as the Bray Summerfest and Greystones Arts Festival.

Bus transfers will operate between Greystones and Dublin for all passengers between Rosslare-Dublin and Gorey/Arklow-Dublin.

Meanwhile, a full Northern and Maynooth line commuter service will operate as normal to and from Connolly Station.

"Iarnrod Eireann apologises for the inconvenience and disruption caused by the Lansdowne Road Stadium development, necessitated by the demolition of the West Stand," said spokesman Berry Kenny.
