GAA Review: Dublin ran out 10-point winners against Kerry in Killarney to move to the top of Division One of the Allianz Football League, while Tyrone defeated Mayo by a point after a dramatic finish at MacHale Park.

Éamonn Fitzmaurice's Kerry team showed no discernible improvement from their dismal showing against Mayo last weekend, when they failed to score in the second half, while for Jim Gavin's Dublin, there was lots to be encouraged in a performance full of verve and endeavour.

Dublin led 0-08 to 0-02 at the break after completely dominating the first half. Bernard Brogan was the main scoring threat with five points. Kerry failed to score for the first 20 minutes of the game. Added to their inaccuracy last week, it meant they had gone around an hour of football without a single point.

They introduced Kieran Donaghy and Bryan Sheehan at the break to remedy that, but it made little difference. Even the dismissal of midfielder Michael Darragh Macauley didn't seem to effect Dublin and they struck the game's only goal shortly afterwards, with around 10 minutes left on the clock, through Craig Dias.

The Kilmacud Crokes man finished smartly after a fine assist from Brogan.

It put Dublin nine points ahead, and Kerry were a spent force as they laboured in vain to claw back some pride. It never came and if they fail to get something from their games against Kildare and Donegal in the coming weeks, they will find themselves in a relegation battle.

In Castlebar, Mickey Harte's Tyroneside led from midway through the first half and were four points clear with under 10 minutes to go, but Keith Higgins's late goal brought Mayoright back into it before points from Donal Vaughan and Jason Doherty put James Horan's side in front.

However, just when it looked as though Mayo had snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, Tyrone did just that, as captain O'Neill tucked away a penalty to give the Ulster side a precious away win.

Next up for Mayo is Dublin, while Tyrone's are due to host Donegal.
