Legal discussion continued yesterday in the trial of a young man charged with murdering his girlfriend. Mr Justice Budd sent the jury away until Monday afternoon.
The jury of 11 men and a woman is hearing the trial in the Central Criminal Court of Mr Stephen Davis (20), of Clonmullin, Athy, Co Kildare, who denies murdering Ms Mary Doogue (30), a mother of six of the same address, in Athy on October 20th, 1995.
The trial has heard Ms Doogue died from delayed shock due to a combination of injuries.
