A man has been arrested after an 18-year-old woman was rescued from the foot of a 25-ft cliff near Tramore, Co Waterford. The woman was flown to Waterford Regional Hospital from Newtown Cove when the alarm was raised at 5.15 a.m. yesterday, and later transferred to Cork University Hospital.
Gardai said she had suffered serious injuries, but her condition was not life-threatening. A 34-year-old man who was arrested at the scene was released last night after questioning at Tramore Garda station. A file has been sent to the DPP.
