A man was charged in Belfast yesterday following a massive cocaine seizure

A man was charged in Belfast yesterday following a massive cocaine seizure. Mr Patrick Joseph O'Neill (38) from Old Hillsborough Road, Lisburn, was charged with possessing cocaine with a street value of £250,000 and having it with intent to supply.

He was also charged with armed robbery of £5,000 from a Securicor employee delivering cash to the Northern Bank, Glengormley, on July 20th, and the attempted robbery of another Securicor man at the Ulster Bank, Carlisle Circus, Belfast, on August 8th. A detective told Belfast Magistrates Court that when Mr O'Neill was charged he replied: "Definitely not guilty." He was remanded in custody until September 20th.
