Police in Northern Ireland have begun an investigation into the death of a man who became trapped under a train.
The emergency services worked to free the man after the alarm was raised at 3.30pm at a train halt at Belfast City Hospital near the city centre, but he was later declared dead.
Police said no details were available on the man, though a full investigation had been launched into the incident that involved the main Enterprise train that links Belfast and Dublin.
A section of the line and a nearby road were temporarily closed while the rescue operation continued.
