Potosi - Missouri executed a St Louis man early yesterday for his part in the car-bombing murder of a labour union official in 1980. David Leisure (49) was put to death by lethal injection at the Potosi Correctional Centre after a series of last-minute appeals were denied.
In their appeals, the attorneys said Leisure was a mentally retarded man who had struggled with alcohol and drug problems.
