A man was being detained by gardai last night after cannabis with a street value estimated at £125,000 was intercepted by Customs officers at Dublin Airport.

A sniffer dog located 12.5 kg of the drug in a suitcase which had been brought on a flight from Spain shortly before 2 p.m.

Customs officers allowed the suitcase to proceed to the baggage hall where it was collected by a 27 year old man who carried a British passport but has an address in Spain. The man was taken to Santry station in Co Dublin.
