Man held after Waterford attack

A man in his 20s has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Waterford City last night.

A man in his 20s has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Waterford City last night.

The attack happened at Neptune House in the Canada Square area of the city at 11.40pm.

A garda spokesman said a man in his late 30s was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital suffering from a stab wound and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The arrested man is currently being held in Waterford Garda station.
