A man was arrested this morning in connection with a shooting incident outside a pub in Fairview last year in which a man was seriously injured.

The man, in his 30s, was arrested in Dublin and is being held at Clontarf Garda station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The incident happened outside the Players Lounge pub on July 26th, 2010. A lone gunman, wearing a balaclava and brandishing two handguns, approached a crowd of people outside the pub shortly before 12.30am.

The pub's doorman, Warren Barrett (31) from Finglas, was shot in the head while two customers were also shot in the attack.
