A man suspected of killing 25 teenage boys after luring them from Internet cafes has been arrested in central China, after his latest target managed to escape.

Huang Yong, 29, was arrested at his home in Zhumadian city, Henan province, where police uncovered the remains of 18 boys in his house, the Guangzhou Daily reported.

He has confessed to killing 25 boys over the past two years, the report said, citing police.

The case came to light when 16-year-old Zhang Liang, after being bound and threatened in Huang's home for four days, convinced Huang to release him by vowing to support him financially, the newspaper said.

Zhang was initially too rattled to go home and spent Monday night at a classmate's house. When he finally did go home, his grandfather reported the case to police, the report said.

Police, who didn't believe the boy's story at first, went to Huang's home to question him and found human remains while there, the newspaper said.

Zhumadian is about 520 miles south west of Beijing.
