A man was attacked with iron bars during a paramilitary-style attack in Northern Ireland, police said today.

A man was attacked with iron bars during a paramilitary-style attack in Northern Ireland, police said today.

The victim was set upon by a gang of six men in the largely loyalist Braniel area of south Belfast shortly after 8pm last night.

The teenager was attacked at the rear of houses at Ravenswood Park. He suffered arm injuries and was taken to hospital but is not in a life-threatening condition.
