Man hurt in west Dublin shooting

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot several times as he sat in a car in west Dublin last night.

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot several times as he sat in a car in west Dublin last night.

The attack happened at about 9.15pm at Rusheeny Manor in Clonsilla.

The man (30) who is believed to have been involved in a number of businesses, was hit a number of times in the body and legs. He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where his condition is described as stable.

Detectives are treating the shooting as a gangland attack.

A car was later found burnt out in Huntstown Avenue, also in Clonsilla.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who was in the Rusheeny Manor/Huntstown Avenue areas around the time of the shooting to contact them.
