Gardai are appealing for information after a man was injured in a shooting incident in Drogheda earlier today.
The incident took place at about 12.45pm near the Moneymore estate, when the occupants of a car fired shots at the victim's vehicle. The car, which is believed to be a red Toyota or similar vehicle, then fled the scene. Gardai believe there was more than one male occupant in the attackers' car.
The man, who is in his early 20s, was brought to Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Gardai are asking that anyone who has information on the attack to contact them.
