A man required 30 stitches to his head after he was attacked in Co Down early today.
A PSNI spokesperson said the man left a bar in the Princes Street area of Dromore at around 1.30am and was followed by a gang of up to ten youths.
It is understood the man pushed his way past the gang but they then raced ahead and blocked his way before attacking him
"The man received hospital treatment for his injuries which required 30 stitches and 10 staples to his head," said a spokeswoman.

The attackers tried to conceal their their identities during the assault by wearing baseball caps and pulling their t-shirts over their faces.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
