The RUC is trying to establish a motive for a shooting in west Belfast early on Saturday morning in which a 42 year old man was injured.
The man was shot in the leg after he got out of bed about 1.30 a.m. to investigate the sound of breaking glass at his home in Ballymurphy Road. A masked man whom he confronted at his front door fired twice, striking the householder in the leg.
A woman who was in the house was also treated for minor injuries.
