A man convicted of manslaughter has been sentenced at the Central Criminal Court to six years' imprisonment

A man convicted of manslaughter has been sentenced at the Central Criminal Court to six years' imprisonment. Sean Bambrick (25), of Cypress Green, Loughboy, Kilkenny, had admitted the man slaughter of Mr Michael O'Sullivan (44), of no fixed address, in the grounds of the Mill Hill Holy Missionary Fathers, Waterford Road, Kilkenny on April 30th, 1997.

He said he killed Mr O'Sullivan by striking him several times on the head and face, after sexual advances were made towards him, which triggered memories of childhood sexual abuse.
