A Carlow man who kicked a Limerick man in the head repeatedly, which may have led to his death two weeks later, has been remanded in custody for sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to Monday next.
John Mahon (30), of Templeowen, Tullow, Co Carlow, kicked Mr Joseph Woods outside Saracens pub on Wexford Street, Dublin, on December 14th, 1998.
Mr Woods (50), from Limerick and with an address at Cuffe Street Flats, Dublin, died in St James's Hospital on December 28th after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
