A man was killed in Co Monaghan this morning in a road accident.
The middle-aged man from Monaghan town, who has not beennamed, was killed when his car crashed two miles south of Carrickmacross on the Ardee Road at 8.45.
One hundred and sixty-six people have died on Irish roads since the beginning of the year.
