A man (36) has died following a single-vehicle crash in Longford last night.
The crash happened shortly after 9.30pm at Rhine, Killoe, Longford, when the man's car hit a tree.
The driver, who was alone in the car, was taken to Mullingar Hospital, Co Westmeath, where he was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old girl died in hospital yesterday following a road incident in Longford earlier this month.
Sabrina Higgins was one of two people knocked down by a van on the Carton Road in Keena on Friday, December 8th.
A total of 360 people have died on Irish roads so far this year.
