A 57-year-old man charged with 12 sexual offences was yesterday refused bail and remanded in custody by Judge Albert O'Dea to reappear before Ennis District Court on August 4th.
The defendant was charged at a special sitting of the court on Thursday night and remanded to reappear yesterday. The offences include rape and indecent assault.
The man was arrested last Tuesday in England on foot of extradition warrants executed by gardai in Ennis. The man was extradited to Ireland on Thursday.
