A man has been questioned by gardai and a file sent to the DPP following the death of a young Wicklow woman in a hit and run accident near the Beehive pub on the main Dublin Arklow road early on Saturday. The victim was named yesterday as 17 year old Ms Precilla Kinsella, from Rathnew, who was walking home when the accident happened at 3.30 a.m.
In Limerick, gardai are investigating the death of 30 year old Mr John Whelan, of Cappamore, who died when his motorcycle went out of control and struck a pedestrian at Coogan, near Doon, Co Limerick.
The pedestrian was uninjured.
