Man remanded over Carlow murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman in Co Carlow.

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman in Co Carlow.

Gerard O’Hara (31) an unemployed man with an address at High Street, Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow, appeared before Cloverhill District Court this morning.

He was charged with the murder of Lisa Doyle (24) at a house in Leighlinbridge on the morning of Sunday, September 20th.

Sgt Stephen Nalty applied for Mr O’Hara to be remanded in custody for a further three weeks.

Judge Ann Watkin remanded the accused to appear again at Cloverhill on October 19th.
