Firefighters rescued a man from a fourth floor window ledge as flames swept through the top of a building in Middle Abbey Street, Dublin, last night.
Three other people were also rescued. Two were treated for smoke inhalation at the Mater Hospital.
Fire engulfed the top floor of the premises, which houses Cafe Aroma, at around 6.30 p.m. Emergency services found a man standing on a ledge as dense smoke poured from the window behind him.
They raised a ladder and he climbed to safety. The fourth floor was gutted but the rest of the building escaped damage, fire services said.
