Gardaí are investigating an incident in Dublin city centre that left a man in hospital with extensive head injuries.
It is believed the man was attacked and a number of witnesses have been interviewd, a Garda spokesman said.The man was found on Nassau Street at around 12.30 am.
He was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where his condition was described as "serious". However, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
There have been no arrests in relation to the incident.
