A gunman fired at his ex-girlfriend and several other people at a Los Angeles home this morning, killing the woman, a man and a child (12), and wounding three teenagers, authorities said.
A police spokesman said officers arrived at a house in an upscale neighborhood and found "multiple victims" of gunshots.
He said he had no information on the circumstances of the shooting and would not identify the victims.
The spokesman said the suspected gunman was not in custody and was reportedly seen driving away in a blue sports utility vehicle.
Among those wounded was a 19-year-old girl who was in critical condition and undergoing surgery at the nearby Simi Valley Hospital, a spokeswoman said.
A 16-year-old boy was also taken to the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds and was listed in stable condition, she said.
An 18-year-old boy was injured after he jumped from a second-story window when the shooting started, a Los Robles Hospital spokeswoman said.
