A man was recovering in hospital last night after the fourth shooting in the same Limerick housing estate in less than two weeks.

The victim was injured when a shot was fired shortly before 3am yesterday morning in Craeval Park in Moyross on the north side of Limerick city. It is believed his injuries are not life threatening.

Gardaí said it was too early in the investigation to confirm the motive for the attack, butl it is understood it may be linked to three other shootings in the same area in just under two weeks.
