The Loran C Action Group in Clare, opposed to a 720ft radionavigation mast on the Loop Head peninsula, has urged all parties to clarify their positions on the issue.
The group said some public representatives in Clare had been making statements during the election campaign "totally at variance" with views expressed by them during the Bord Pleanala hearing on the mast.
Amending legislation to permit the Commissioners of Irish Lights to erect the mast and run other radio based navigation aids had not passed the Seanad before the dissolution of the last Dail.
