President Mary McAleese begins a State visit to Austria today.
During a three-day visit Mrs McAleese will visit Vienna where she will meet President Fischer and Vice Chancellor Gorbach. She will deliver a number of addresses including one to the Irish community in Austria and another to Austrian and Irish business leaders at a breakfast event hosted by Enterprise Ireland.
Mrs McAleese will also visit the Bregenz Festival where she will attend a performance by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
She is accompanied on the trip, her first official visit to Austria, by her husband, Dr Martin McAleese and Minister for Communications Noel Dempsey.
