Rangers manager Alex McLeish expects to sign a new contract with the Ibrox club within a matter of days.
Since his arrival at Ibrox, McLeish has turned around Rangers' fortunes after a spell in the shadow of their greatest rivals, Celtic.
He has led them to five trophies - including last season's domestic treble - as well as the group stages of this year's Champions League and Ibrox chiefs are keen to tie him to a longer deal. His contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with a move elsewhere.
Tottenham are the latest club who are reported to be interested in luring McLeish from Glasgow.
But the manager insists he has no desire to test his managerial skills in the Barclaycard Premiership yet and the only contract he will be signing is an extension to his current deal.
He said: "I've got contract talks with the club ongoing at the moment and we're looking at the fine print.
"I've told the chairman I'm committed to Rangers but we have to get the finer details of the contract sorted and, for me, that's pretty imminent.
"If everything is agreed in the coming week then I would expect to do something by then.
"The Premiership is an exciting league but I've got no designs to leave Rangers at the moment."
Rangers' profile was boosted further when they won their Champions League opener against Stuttgart, who had not conceded a goal this season before Tuesday's match.
