The three victims of Saturday's crash in Co Meath were buried yesterday. Two sisters, Ms Elaine Gilsenan (26) and Ms Joan Gilsenan (31), and Elaine's daughter, Rachel (7), died when the car in which they were travelling collided with a tanker near Slane. The three were on a shopping trip from their home in Ardee, Co Louth, to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, west Dublin, when the accident happened in thick fog.

After Mass in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady in Ardee yesterday morning, a cousin said the sisters had planned a double wedding in the spring. "They identified them by their engagement rings. I am still reeling."
