A Northern Ireland woman found suffering from memory loss in the Kilkenny village of Urlingford has been reunited with her family.

Relatives were travelling to Clonmel, Co Tipperary, yesterday, where the woman has been in hospital since coming to the attention of locals last month.

She was unable to recall how she came to be in the area, where she was found on Monday, July 7th.

The family came forward after newspapers published her photograph at the request of the Garda.

The family yesterday declined to give details of her identity, except to say she is from Belfast and is not - as she originally claimed - "Elizabeth Sands".
