London - The Argentine President, Mr Carlos Menem, is to lay a wreath at a memorial for British soldiers who died fighting his countrymen in the Falklands War when he visits London next week, a Foreign Office spokesman said yesterday. The brief ceremony will take place at St Paul's Cathedral on October 28th.

Mr Menem told Argentine radio earlier this month he would use his visit to push Britain to respect a call by the United Nations decolonisation committee for talks between the two countries on the sovereignty issue.
