Mr Michael Cush SC became a senior counsel in 1998 and has been involved in a number of high-profile cases.
He has been working as a barrister for the Ansbacher inspectors, along with Mr Lyndon MacCann. He represented the inquiry in a High Court application, where permission was granted to apply to the courts in the Cayman Islands.
Then Mr Cush said there was a clear indication of attempts to conceal matters and a "level of secrecy" which had led the inspectors to conclude they needed the help of the Cayman courts.
At the end of Mr James Gogarty's evidence to the Flood tribunal, Mr Cush, representing JMSE, said Mr Gogarty had "a great sense of timing".
