The founder and managing director of fund manager Montgomery Oppenheim has left the company.

A statement from the company this afternoon said clients, intermediaries and IFSRA have been informed of Paul Montgomery's departure.

Joe O'Dwyer and Kevin Gallacher have been appointed joint managing directors of Montgomery Oppenheim. Mr O'Dwyer is chief investment officer, and Mr Gallacher is director of marketing and client service.

Montgomery Oppenheim manages €2 billion of clients funds including the "Summit" range of funds on behalf of the EBS Building Society.
