Maputo - A third river threatens to worsen killer flooding in Mozambique, as water levels rise on the Save River in the southern province of Gaza, government officials warned yesterday.

Floods this year have claimed at least 17 lives in the southern African country, according to government figures, with many villages under water. In Malawi, some 60,000 people have been displaced.
