Paris - France's arms trafficking scandal took a new twist yesterday when a celebrity priest and the widow of President Francois Mitterrand clashed over her son's disputed business dealings in Africa.
Abbe Pierre, a popular Roman Catholic anti-poverty activist, told the daily Le Figaro that two African bishops had asked him in 1996 to warn Mrs Danielle Mitterrand that her son, Jean-Christophe, was making dubious arms sales to Angola.
