This afternoon's meeting at Navan will go ahead after the course passed a morning inspection.

The going at the track is currently soft to heavy but course officials have decided that it is raceable.

"The track is definitely raceable," said Cliff Noone, Turf Club spokesman.

"It will be very testing but it is a National Hunt meeting so most of the horses will be used to it.

"It dried up quite a lot yesterday and there was no rain at all however there is some more forecast for later today."

Gowran Park's meeting on Sunday has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.

Course officials staged an inspection at 8am but found the track to be unraceable.

The meeting may be rescheduled.

Kilbeggan's meeting on Monday has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.
