New quake shakes Italy

Rome - A new earthquake, measuring five on the Mercalli scale, shook central Italy yesterday, a day before a visit by Pope John Paul II, the national geophysical institute said. No one was hurt when the earthquake struck nor was there property damage in the Foligno area. It was the third quake since New Year's Day.
