New York - Mike Tyson, the former world heavyweight boxing champion, is being accused of rape six years after his release from prison for raping a beauty queen contestant, writes Michael Ellison.
An unnamed woman, thought to be in her 50s, told police that the 35-year-old boxer raped her at the home he was renting in Big Bear, 70 miles east of Los Angeles, while he was training there. Tyson has since moved to another training camp in Phoenix, Arizona.
A San Bernadino police spokesman said: "A female adult made an allegation to the sheriff's department that she had been sexually assaulted by Mike Tyson. Tyson has not been arrested or charged.
