Tomorrow's race meeting at Newcastle has been abandoned due to waterlogging.
Speaking after an early-morning inspection, clerk of the course James Armstrong said: "We had just over 6mm of rain overnight and it's still raining.
"The Met Office say we could get a minimum of another 10mm today, so it's not going to improve. We've had just over three inches of rain since Thursday."
