Frances Crowley will decide in the next couple of days whether Nil Desperandum lines up for Monday's Powers Gold Label Irish Grand National or waits for the Aintree version.
"We haven't made a decision where he runs just yet," said Crowley today.
"He has a nicer weight in the English National, and it gives us more time to get him ready, but I will speak to his owner first and decide in the next couple of days.
The handicapper has penalised Nil Desperandum for last week's win at Down Royal. It was the horse's first victory since his promising novice campaign last season and he looked to be back to his best.
Crowley added: "He is very well and it was nice to see him win - mind you, the handicapper seems to have taken note of it. But we really needed to see him return to form before we could go any further."
