Student nurse Ruth Dennison ran the race to raise funds for the Carol Adams Foundation, an orphanage in Uganda. She is going to work there next summer.
"I'm so chuffed, over the moon," she said.
"I just needed the paper bag there at the end but I'm all right. The hyper-ventilating passed."
Although she is from Newcastle in west Dublin, she said she saw parts of the city that she had never been in before. "It was really well organised. The day was just perfect, gorgeous.
"Will I do it again?
"Definitely."
