Nurses at St Vincent's Hospital unit to strike

Nurses at the radiology department in St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, will withdraw from on-call services after 5 p.m

Nurses at the radiology department in St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, will withdraw from on-call services after 5 p.m. as part of a dispute over pay.

In a brief statement, the Irish Nurses Organisation (INO) said the planned industrial action came after members unanimously rejected a management offer.

According to the INO, the dispute results from management's non-adherence to the terms of an agreement reached earlier this year.

A spokesman said the action would proceed unless management puts a better offer on the table.

If the industrial action go ahead, it will severely disrupt the hospital's radiology department.
