THE REMOVAL of the remains of Barry Twomey, a businessman and close friend of Irish rugby captain Brian O'Driscoll, will take place in south Dublin this evening.
The removal will take place at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour in Foxrock at 6.15pm, and funeral Mass will take place at 11.15 tomorrow morning, ahead of his burial at Dean's Grange Cemetery.
The 29-year-old was found dead in Enniskerry in Co Wicklow on Tuesday. Gardaí are not treating his death as suspicious.
Mr Twomey is survived by his parents Cormac and Margaret, his siblings Cormac, Elaine, Rachel and Ruth, and his fiancee Barbara Matthews.
In 2005 Mr Twomey set up a social magazine aimed at students named Bash. The free magazine featured images of young people socialising in Dublin bars and nightclubs. It ceased publication shortly afterwards.
O'Driscoll withdrew from the Ireland team ahead of its 39-14 victory over the Barbarians in Gloucester on Tuesday night, when news of the death emerged.
It remained unclear last night when he would join the Irish team to prepare for its summer tour to New Zealand and Australia.
