Ireland star Ronan O'Gara will consider a move to American football's Miami Dolphins after this year's Rugby World Cup, media reports today suggest.
The talented out-half has reportedly been offered a deal worth $12 million over four years to become a place kicker for the Florida giants.
But O'Gara (26), who revealed yesterday that he has held preliminary discussions with Miami owner Wayne Huizenga, is putting the issue on the "backburner" until after the World Cup in Australia this October and November.
"The World Cup is my goal at this moment but you can never rule anything out," O'Gara told the Sunday Independent.
O'Gara's IRFU contract is due to expire after the World Cup and the Munster star would then be in a prime position to negotiate an improved deal should he turn his back on gridiron action.
