Film star Maureen O'Hara celebrated her 78th birthday at the Power Irish Coffee Festival in Foynes, Co Limerick, at the weekend, where she was the guest of honour. This year she completed her 60th film, Cab to Canada.
Mr Glen Graham (24), assistant manager at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Club was voted Power World Irish Coffee champion on Saturday night. The Leinster champion and a native of Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone, he was presented with a cheque for £1,000 and a crystal trophy by Ms O'Hara.
The festival concluded yesterday with a street pageant and a recital by the Band of the Southern Command and a firework display.
