One of the largest manufacturers of computer software in the world today announced it will recruit 250 people for its Dublin office.
At the opening of Oracle’s Global Development and IT Services Centre Building at the East Point Business Park, Oracle vice-president Mr Michael O’Callaghan said the move showed again the company’s commitment to Ireland.
"The opening of this, our fourth building in East Point and sixth Irish location overall reaffirms Oracle’s commitment to our Irish operations and the European and global services infrastructure based in Dublin," said Mr O’Callaghan.
He said the company has 60 open positions in Ireland.
The new jobs will bring Oracle Ireland’s workforce to over 1,200 and will have a software-engineering focus.
The new building was opened by Taoiseach Mr Ahern.
