Police officers came under attack from petrol bombs and other missiles in Portadown on Friday, while sledgehammers were used to damage armoured PSNI vehicles. Nineteen plastic baton rounds were fired during the trouble which continued into the early hours of Saturday.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with riotous behaviour and criminal damage and a 42-year-old man faces those counts plus possession of a weapon. A third man, aged 20, was charged with disorderly behaviour and assault on police.
